Hilliard's Bay Community Association
The Hilliard’s Bay Community Association (HBCA) was established in 2026 and is registered as a non-profit society under the Alberta Societies Act. HBCA mission and objectives were developed along the same spirit of the original vision of the first homesteaders to the Hilliard’s Bay area (Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hilliard’s 1912)
“To extend hospitality and a hearty welcome to visitors and campers”.

Enrich the quality of life, strengthen community connection, and encourage active, healthy lifestyles through cultural, recreational, and educational activities
Objective
- Provide effective and cooperative governance within the HBCA
- Build and strengthen community connection in the Hilliard’s Bay area and Big Lakes County
- Identify and implement programs that encourage active, healthy lifestyles through cultural, recreational, and educational activities
- Seek opportunities for funding and other support to further the initiatives of HBCA
The Hilliard’s Bay Community Association by-laws ensure good governance of the society and oversight of the Alberta Societies Act.
