About
Hilliard’s Bay Estates Inc. was formed in late 2007 after the acquisition of the 111 acre lakeside property.
With such limited opportunity for private ownership of lakeside property; this is a “once in a lifetime” opportunity for families to acquire an heirloom lake property to pass along from generation to generation.
Thank you for your interest in Hilliard’s Bay Estates and hope to see you this summer!
Amenities
Playgrounds & Sports Court
We have two playgrounds for children to use. There is one located on Aspen Avenue in Phase 2 and the other is by the beach and sports court.
The sports court is open 9 am to 9 pm through the summer months. There is a collection of sticks, rackets and balls for your enjoyment. If you have equipment that you wish to donate please let a board member know.
Dock or Boat Lift
The condo association manages the dock and boat lift installation on a yearly basis in accordance with guidelines set in the Alberta Environment handout, Guidelines for Lakeshore Use #061-1C.
Through the generous purchase of 3 FLOE seasonal dock systems, our maintenance crew installs the docks for our use. Our maintenance crew is also responsible for installing and removing the boat lifts as requested by the lot owner.
Lot owners are responsible for the purchase and maintenance of their boat lift and dock slip system. We high recommend using FLOE lifts to match those in place. There is a fee for the installation of these systems. Residents are contacted on a yearly basis to determine if they would like their boat lift installed. Fees for installation must be paid prior to the open water season.
Boat slips and lifts can be purchased from KimLake Ventures, Rick Cloutier who is a lot owner at HBE. You may contact him at 780-837-0410 or by email at kimlake@kimlakelife.ca
Trails
There are several walking trails in the area.
The Boreal Forest Trail is located north of the main entrance to the Provincial Campground.
The Trans Canada Trail can be accessed on both ends of the estates near the beach and also runs north of the estates.
The Fiddlehead trail runs through Monias Creek.
Storage Yard
We have an area North of the main estates for residents to store ice shacks, sea-cans, boat trailers etc.
There is a storage fee cost for sea-cans, ice shacks and other permanent trailers. Please contact Rick Cloutier for more information.
Beach
We have two beach areas. The area to the east of the boat launch area is commonly called the “Hidden Beach”. This is where the white tent is placed during the summer months. The tent can be used for social gatherings. If you are interested in using the tent, email the condo board to book the date and time. You will be responsible for clean up of the area once your event is completed.
The Hidden Beach is pet friendly- but please clean up after your pet as people use this area too.
To the west of the boat launch is the main beach. We have several water toys that are anchored during the summer season. The water toys were purchased through significant fundraising efforts and are maintained by Rick and his crew. We kindly ask that you treat these toys with respect so they continue to last for all our enjoyment.
We also have a roped swimming area. Boaters are asked to use caution when approaching the swim area for all our safety.
